An established architectural practice working in East Anglia, London and the Home Counties, with a proven track record of successful projects and satisfied clients.

The practice is associated with TGN Architects Ltd, London for commercial and industrial projects

The practice was established in 1996, specialising in the conservation, alteration and extension of Historic buildings. Our portfolio includes: Community buildings, Private Historic Houses, Interiors and bespoke fittings.

When involved in the development of funded projects, we provide assistance with grant applications through drawings, cost analyses and presentations to funding bodies.

Each element is designed to complement and enhance the quality of the existing building or create new functional spaces of high quality.

Sarah maintains direct, personal control over all work carried out by the Practice.

As Principal, Sarah Roberts draws upon a wealth of practical training and on-site experience, specifying Traditional materials and techniques. This is combined with a solid understanding of modern construction, demonstrated by a track record of successful projects, from design to completion.

Sarah Roberts is a member of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) and a committee member for the East Anglia Earth Buildings Group (EARTHA) and chair of the Diss Business Forum

 PHILOSOPHY
A project is a success if the client achieves what they envision, at a price they can afford, within a reasonable time scale. This may mean adapting to changes in design, budget and phasing of the works. The client should be kept informed of costs, fees and any other constraints, such as Planning or Listed Building issues.

 FEE STRUCTURE
A simple time-based fee structure is adopted, with an estimate of the probable maximum expenditure, with pre-warning of addition fees (only experienced in extreme cases).

 THE TEAM
The Practice currently includes four staff members for full technical and administrative support. We use computer aided design where appropriate, but employ traditional drawing skills for the majority of unique and sensitive projects.
